Recent events.
14/11/25 – Road marking issues, Courage Low Lane.

After speaking with dozens of local residents Darren said ‘it’s clear this problem has been ignored for far too long. Some can’t even remember ever seeing road markings on that tight, blind bend, and that’s simply unacceptable. At first, Lancashire County Council told me Highways had no money left. I refused to take that as an answer. I went straight to senior councillors, sent photos, and made sure they could see exactly how risky this stretch of road has become.’
And it’s worked. I’ve now had confirmation from one of LCC’s lead councillors that the road markings WILL be repainted.

9/11/25 – Remembrance Sunday, Appley Bridge.

Darren attended the Appley Bridge Remembrance Sunday service to lay a wreath for the fallen on behalf of Lancashire County Councillor Nigel Swales.
Darren said ‘I am very grateful to have been given the honour of laying a wreath at my local war memorial in Appley Bridge on behalf of Councillor Swales and honouring those who lost their lives in wars and military conflicts including my personal friends and family members‘.
