Karl lives in Tarleton with his wife and dog. After serving twelve years in the Royal Navy, Karl worked as a detention officer for the Lancashire police, more recently, Karl runs a successful barber shop specialising in hair cuts for autistic and special needs.
In his spare time, Karl does a lot of fund raising including this year’s event for Holy Trinity primary school and is a huge advocate for the rural and farming communities.

Karl believes in:
- Welfare & Safety – Tackling antisocial behaviour for the Tarleton community.
- Infrastructure – Improving street lighting and looking to reopen the local public toilets.
- Highways – Parking and local conditions, like improving road conditions and HGV access through the village.
- Care – Care in the community for elderly residents and fighting for Ormskirk hospital Accident and Emergency.
- SEND – Promoting SEND and improving education for SEND families.
- Farming – Promoting local farmers and their produce.
- Rural communities – Ensuring that their voices are heard.

Karl is a dedicated, approachable and capable individual who brings a strong work ethic and thoughtful approach to everything he undertakes. Whether collaborating with other people, handling complex tasks, or engaging with clients or members of the community, Karl approaches every situation with maturity, respect, and focus.
One of Karl’s standout strengths is his ability to stay calm under pressure and work through challenges with a level head and practical mindset. His years in the Royal Navy have given him the ability to multitask and prioritise.
Karl along side his wife and runs a gents hair salon, where he specialises in SEND children’s hair cuts, he understands the requirements needed to help people flourish and be the best that they can be.
Karl is well known in the local rural and farming communities, living in Tarleton village, he understands the needs of the local and rural communities, he has gained a rich mutual relationship with the senior members of the community, understanding and committed to working closely with them. Karl also understands concerns with antisocial behaviour, highway and parking issues within the village.
Karl, along with being approachable is committed to quality, with attention to detail, and positive attitude make him an asset in any environment.

Karl had a fantastic day with the local farming community, showing him around their land and quite rightly venting their frustration.
Karl states ‘we have to remember that if there’s no farm, there’s no food! West Lancashire has one of the finest farming communities in the UK!’

Karl has been dealing with HGV’s driving down unsuitable roads in Tarleton trying to accomplish a mutually agreeable long term plan for safety of the area and drivers.
